Jeffrey Gitomer’s TrainOne (active members Charlotte Area Chapter) has won a 2009 ASTD Excellence in Practice Award.  The award was for its four-year 'Extra Mile' customer loyalty training program, developed for one of America's largest wholesale distributors. The Award will be presented at a ceremony in Chicago in May.

The blended training program combined live instruction and online training reaching all of the company's 20,000+ employees in over 1,000 locations across the country. The program is now being rolled out to other companies owned by the same parent organization in the UK and Europe.

The program included extensive management reporting, testing and surveys with students, managers and customers at every stage, and the results were highly positive across all five standard Kirkpatrick/Phillips levels.

This is TrainOne’s second submission to ASTD.  Last year they were awarded an Excellence in Practice Citation for their HP Project.  They’ve also been recognized by CLO and SALT.
